Who the Mastery Track Is For
You’re eligible for Fighting Mastery after roughly 40 completed Fighting Foundations classes. By that point, the basics — stance, distance, falling safely, the core techniques — are familiar enough that jujutsu starts to feel natural. Fighting Mastery is where you learn to combine those fundamentals using leverage and momentum, rather than adding move after move to a growing list.

What the Fighting Mastery Track Covers
The program goes deeper into five core elements:

Refining Technique, Timing, and Pressure
At this stage, progress looks different than it did in Fighting Foundations. You’re not learning new moves as often — you’re refining the ones you already know: faster reaction time, better timing, new combinations built from techniques you’ve already drilled. Three to four sessions a week is a realistic target here, since detail work under pressure takes repetition to stick.
Training in the Valente Brothers Lineage
Fighting Mastery still follows the same lineage as Fighting Foundations — Grandmaster Helio Gracie, Dr. Pedro Valente Sr., and the Valente Brothers — just applied at a more advanced level. Training happens both in and out of the kimono: primarily in the kimono, since clothing control is part of real-world self-defense, but also without it, so you understand how techniques adapt when there’s nothing to grip.
