Self-Defense & Sushi: Our Signature Event
If you want something more memorable than a standard training session, this is it. Self-Defense & Sushi pairs a hands-on self-defense segment with a sushi-making lesson led by a local chef — genuinely engaging, and a little unexpected in a good way. Groups consistently tell us it’s one of the better team events they’ve done, whether it’s a workplace outing, a friends’ night out, or a leadership retreat.

What a Team Session Covers
Most sessions run 90 minutes to 3 hours, depending on how much hands-on practice you want. Shorter formats focus on awareness and a handful of practical escapes; longer sessions add scenario work.
Everything is taught from the ground up — nobody needs prior experience, and no one’s put in a position that feels unsafe or embarrassing.
Team Building Through Practical Training
There’s something different about a team that’s learned to look out for each other physically, not just talk about “trust” in the abstract.
Groups leave with a shared experience and a few skills that are actually useful — not just a corporate exercise everyone forgets by Monday.

Session Formats and Group Sizes
Groups of 8 to 30 work best, and larger teams can be split across two sessions the same day. Smaller groups get more individual correction, worth considering if the goal is skill-building rather than pure team bonding. We can run sessions at our downtown academy or come to your office or venue, provided there’s a clear floor area large enough to move safely.
